Rara Lake, one of the biggest and deepest lake in Nepal, is famous for its immense beauty and freshness. It is situated in the far northwestern part of Nepal. It is at an altitude of 2990 m and has a maximum depth of 167 m. It is surrounded by Rara National Park. The view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks, fresh light green water, candy clouds, changing of colors by time are the major attractions here. A holy temple of Thakur Baba is located at southeast corner of the lake. This is believed to be the place where Thakur Baba shot an arrow to open the passage of the lake reducing the damage caused by flooding. The tour to Rara Lake is generally seven days (6N/7D) practice. The entire tour is planned as per the itinerary or can be tailored according to the desire of our customer.

Day 01: Kathmandu-Kohalpur
The beginning of our tour will be towards Kohalpur from Kathmandu via Land Cruiser/jeep or bus according to the desire of our customer.
Day 02: Kohalpur- Manma
This day we’ll be moving towards Manma after overnight stay at Kohalpur. On the way we’ll get a chance to explore the longest river of Nepal, Karnali. The roasted fish at Karnali River is famous for its taste. Further we’ll also get in there at Dhungeshwar Mahadev, a sacred place for Hindus, which is located beside the Karnali River. The beautiful villages, Dailekh and Kalikot, will make our trip more exciting. Some photo snaps and the beauty of Karnali River will surely make our time awesome.
Day 03: Manma- Rara
This is the day to reach Rara, our main destination. The journey throughout the entire hilly region will be more exciting and memorable. Geographically, the biggest valley of Nepal and the place where Nepali language is considered to be originated, Sinja Valley, will be on our way. A few suspension bridges made up of woods with awesome carvings designed using European Techniques are also very attractive. The cultural and the typical villages with the ancient language of natives of this area and the purest form of Lake will be welcoming us.
Day 04: Hike murma top (3630m) and back to Rara
A hike to Murma and the views of wonderful Himalayan ranges will flourish our tour. The vantage point, Murma top, provides a 360-degree view of Rara Lake.We will be back from Murma to Rara. At the finest accommodation available there, we will accommodate you.
Day 05: Rara- Jumla
The next day we will be moving towards Jumla, Hidden away in the foothills of the Sisne Himalaya, the remote village of Jumla (2730m) is the gateway to the wild northwest which is the least developed and most inaccessible region. Kanak Sundari, sacred place of Hindus, is also located there in Jumla. We will have a glimpse at the lifestyle of Jumla’s people and their culture.
Day 06: Jumla- Kohalpur
This day we’ll be returning from Jumla to Kohalpur. This is the day where we’ll be enjoying the entire tour to Rara. We will stay at Kohalpur overnight.
Day 07: Kohalpur – Kathmandu
This is formally the end-day of our entire journey to Rara. We’ll be returning from Kohalpur to Kathmandu collecting lots of wonderful memories and the rural lifestyle of far northwestern part of Nepal.
